Iran Cohort Consortium (ICC)

Iran Cohort Consortium (ICC) is a virtual network of governmental and non-governmental centers for research, training, industrial activities and services approved by authorities and also scientific societies and individuals that are aligned with respect to their mission in the field of design, implementation, monitoring and analysis of cohort studies and other related studies to come together for collaboration in research.

Mission:

Organizing, targeting and empowering units in the area of cohort studies and other related studies in medical sciences for special assignments in line with the needs of health systems to knowledge production and policy making. Responding to the needs of users and clients with a view to reducing the burden of disease and crop production in order to improve health.

Goals:

– Resolving the problems in the health sector through designing, implementation, monitoring, data aggregation and analysis of cohort and other related studies.
– Determining national research priorities in line with the network mission.
– Integration of research among the research units in order to prevent parallel works and additional costs.
– Building and strengthening team working spirit among researchers and stakeholders.
– Establishing international cooperation with global research networks.
– Promoting in qualitative and quantitative levels of research with regards to the optimal use and ease of information, resources, facilities and equipment in research centers of the network.
– Increasing synergy through the mission-oriented membership in the network.
– Strengthening communication with industry
